Established in 1956, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences has been the best medical college in Delhi for more than 11 years now. The college is spread over 330 acres of land. Every year AIIMS intakes 77 students for MBBS, 217 to 220 students for MS and MD, and 12 students for MCh/ DM. For admission, the AIIMS entrance exam is conducted by the colleges. AFMC is a government medical college in Pune that is managed by the Indian armed forces. It was established as a postgraduate teaching institute after world war II in 1948. The institute is known primarily for imparting education and training to medical undergraduates and postgraduates, dental postgraduates, nursing cadets, and paramedical staff.
