So, when you sit in Sukhasana and read, you are not only learning but also multitasking and doing yoga. The pose helps you to ease your mind while still applying pressure to your lower back, which can aid in relaxing.

When you sit on the floor to read, you appear to lean over and return to your normal posture. This back and forth movement stimulates the muscles in the abdomen to secrete digestive juices, which aids in the proper and rapid digestion of food.

When you squat or sit in Padmasana, the muscles in your lower back, pelvis, and around your stomach stretch, which relieves pain and discomfort. Stretching these important muscles on a daily basis can also help you become more stable and fit.
